All in the detail
Artisan floral workshop
A day of creativity, colour, texture, inspiring floral arrangements and, of course, delicious cake!
It was all in the detail at the artisan floral workshop held at Clonalis by award-winning floral designer and horticulturist Fiona Nolan in September 2019.
Under Fiona’s expert tuition guests were brought on a journey, honing their skills, learning tips about seasonal blooms, understanding tones and shades and how to forage from their own gardens.
An impressive array of stunning arrangements was created by participants combined in a natural and elegant style and the best bit – you got to take your floral creation and beautiful footed bowl home with you. A selection of delicious homemade cakes and biscuits were enjoyed by all during the break.
We were thrilled to have Fiona, such a talented floral designer who won gold in 2019 at Bloom for the nursery display category.
Fiona has a coastal plant nursery based in Ballycroy, County Mayo beside her floral studio and is happiest when knee-deep in flowers. She grows Dahlias, Heirloom Chrysanthemums, David Austin Roses and many interesting annuals which she uses along with locally-sourced trusted growers to create bespoke florals for her clients.
Fiona is committed to environmentally-friendly, traditional methods and does not use floristry foam so if you are looking for stunning Irish grown floral bouquets or planning an event please check her out at www.fleurweddings.ie
We look forward to hosting a variety of fun, educational and interactive artisan floral workshops in the near future.
