A THRIVING NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
We are passionate about sharing the warmth of our family home, our history and the simplicity of country living. Like our forbears we remain closely involved with agriculture running our own farm, tending to the land and creating long-lasting environmental practices with minimum impact to the surroundings. We are challenging ourselves to improve our sustainability and to reduce our energy in the coming years. We encourage responsible tourism, through the planting of trees, reduced water usage and waste.
Sustainability is at the core of what we do, restoring and maintaining our historic family home, preserving our rare and natural habitat and ensuring that nothing is wasted and everything is sourced locally where possible, from growers and producers who share our sustainable ethos. We endeavour to use every last leaf and what we can’t use in the kitchen is returned to the land. We are passionate about conserving and preserving both our family, and Ireland’s heritage and are delighted to invite guests to walk through 2,000 years of unique and fascinating history. We want you to rest, relax and enjoy this perfect piece of Irish country idyll that our family call home.
